Dr. Bob Cowman


 
Pastor Bob has served as pastor at Columbus Road Church in Quincy, Illinois for the past 3 years.  He came to Quincy from a long term ministry of 12 years in Norwalk, Ohio where he served as Outreach Pastor at Calvary Baptist Church. Bob received his pastoral training at Baptist Bible College in Clarks Summit, Pa. He also received his Masters of Divinity in 1991 and his Doctorate in 2004 from Baptist Bible Seminary in Clarks Summit, Pa. He is passionate about reaching the community. He is a high school soccer coach at Quincy Senior High School. He serves as the Executive Board Chairman of “The Well House”, an organization dedicated to women in transition from jail to society. He is co-founder of Great River Soccer Academy for youth in the area. He is a father of four (Matt, Madison, Michaela, and Meredith) and husband to Lisa who teaches in the Quincy school system, leads the women's ministry and teaches in the children’s ministry. The Cowman’s have added one more member to their family this year. His name is Hercules. He is an 1 year old 75 pound black lab who truly teaches them the meaning of being "unleashed". Racing the #20 in the Hornet class at local speedways, hunting, fishing and golf all provide opportunities to be in the community and touch the lives of men.
